The Internet of Things is expanding at a rapid pace with the number of connected devices projected to reach nearly 40 billion by 2020.  Long the networking technology of choice, Wi-Fi is already playing a strong role in the Internet of Things and will be a key enabler of Smart Homes, Smart Cities, and other Internet of Things applications.  In this one-day session, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from key industry executives from across the Wi-Fi ecosystem as they discuss Wi-Fi market needs and use cases for the burgeoning Internet of Things market.

Wi-Fi Alliance will provide an overview of all related programs currently in development and will discuss how Wi-Fi will continue to expand its role in the Internet of Things and play a significant role in growing and emerging markets.  In addition, attendees will get a closer look at the features of the recently updated Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ ac certification program as well as an in-depth review of the upcoming Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Location and Device Provisioning Protocol certification programs currently in development.
